IDIQ CONTRACT FOR PUMP REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT (HMSD) CITYWIDE WITH BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN FOCUS

The New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), Procurement Department (SMPD), on behalf of Heating Services Management Department (HSMD), through this Solicitation, seeks bids from qualified vendors to provide NYCHA with services as follows: RFQ Number 518131 IDIQ CONTRACT FOR PUMP REPAIR AND REPLACEMENT (HMSD) CITYWIDE WITH BOROUGH OF MANHATTAN FOCUS Contract Term : Three (3) years with up to two (2) one-year renewal periods, at NYCHA's sole discretion. Bid Security. Bid Security is required at the time of bid submission in the amount of 100% of the contract minimum as stated in the contract documents. Payment and Performance Bonds are required of the winning bidder and due during the award process in the amount of 100% of the contract minimum. Scope of Work : This contract The Work to be performed by the contractor under this Contract (the work) shall consist of providing all labors, materials, equipment, and ancillary items necessary and appropriate for the repair of mechanical systems: The types of maintenance and repair that to be performed under this contract include but not limited to pump repair and replacement, etc. Replacement and Feedwater pump/house pumps: Replacement of existing Feedwater pumps . Provide duplex set of new Feedwater pumps and associated equipment including motors, bases, valves, piping modifications, controls and electrical work as and when needed in various developments in the Borough. Remove existing pumps, piping and associated equipment. Existing concrete, foundation is to be reused. Modify foundation as necessary to suit new pump set. Feedwater pump/house pumps: Replacement of existing of Feedwater pumps . Provide duplex set of new Feedwater pumps and associated equipment including motors, bases, valves, piping modifications, controls and electrical work as and when needed in various developments in the Borough. Remove existing pumps, piping and associated equipment. Existing concrete, foundation is to be reused. Modify foundation as necessary to suit new pump set. Insulate all new piping. Remove existing insulation as required. Testing of pumps and piping. Painting. Shut-down and restoration of water service and associated electrical work and controls. File all applications and obtain all permits. Training and Instruction. Repair service contracts for existing of Feedwater pumps. Contractor to provide service to existing Feedwater pumps and panel as and when needed. Responding to outages dues to Feedwater pump malfunctions. Labor and material to replace or repair defective equipment. Annual replacement of starters. Starters should be replaced annually. The old starter should be rebuilt and returned to the development for replacement the next year. Replacement of defective check valves . NYCHAs PQL Required: In order to be considered eligible for award, bidders must submit a competitive bid in response to this RFQ as well as be approved on NYCHAs Plumbing Services Pre- Qualified List (PQL) prior to bid closing date. To be considered eligible for award, Vendors who are not yet approved for the stated PQL, should apply for it by no fewer than 15 days prior to a bid submission due date.
